The conferences organized by ECOAR))) in different locations around the world will analyze, through specialists and professionals in the field of communication, how power and counter-power are built in today’s world around that field.
This September 4 ECOAR))) launches through the Association Pepa Loba a crowdfunding campaign that aims to finance the conferences “Communication, Power and Counter-power” which are planned to take place in the second half of November.
The conferences “Communication, Power and Counter-power” will analyze the construction of a hegemonic and uniform discourse as well as the power relations that are woven between the media, political power and transnationals. At the same time, these conferences will also reveal the way in which people are organized in the construction of counter-power through the vertebration of an alternative discourse and a new culture with the transformation of citizens into active subjects as a central point, thanks to the appearance of new tools, new knowledge and a different conception of communication and information from the emergence of the internet.
The conferences will consist of lectures that will take place in different locations around the world, which will be connected to each other through the digital space. Each of the conferences will be open and free, and will be made up of an exposition by distinguished specialists and professionals who will analyze different aspects related to communication and the construction of power, so we can later insert a subsequent debate among the people present.
Therefore, with the objective of obtaining the necessary financing to be able to face the expenses derived from them and to be able to effectively develop these conferences, ECOAR))) is committed to a collaborative and solidarity construction and launches this crowdfunding campaign through the platform of Pepa Loba Association.
